Mountain Bike the VASA Backcountry
Route: Holy Trinity Single Track
The Pere Marquette's 330,000 acres is home the world-famous VASA Pathway. The Pathway is a 27k loop of groomer width trails nestled in the vast forest. Within the trail system are other networks of winter Fatbike loops, marked single track loops (VASA Single Track) and the coveted unmarked backcountry trails. Discover mature forests, glacial lakes and open meadows in the heart of the forest, not to mention riding some of the sickest backcountry trails Michigan has to offer.

This is a back country adventure. Find yourself being guided through the depths of the Pere Marquette State Forest. This forest has over a hundred miles of world class single track that weaves and climbs through the glacially created landscape. This route begins at the Vasa Single Track (VST) parking lot. Using single track and the Vasa Pathway you will arrive at the headwaters of Acme creek. You will be lead to a one of a kind single track and find yourself on raw backcountry flow trail. You will get spit out on Sand Lakes Rd. which you may recognize as part of the Iceman course. This then leads to a segment of the X100 course and eventually joins to the VASA Connector and back to the VASA Singletrack parking lot.
