me:
How you spend your days is how you live your life. I spend my days outside, under the blue dome, happy. I have spent my days exploring the forests, dunes, islands and waters of Northern Michigan. I have instructed people professionally in fitness and active lifestyles for over 10 years.
I live an active lifestyle. I have found some limits and am still pushing others. I am an eternal student, It is my belief that you can learn something from everyone. Along the way I have had many teachers, professors, instructors, gurus, fellow athletes and students that have taught me better ways to train, eat and be healthy. I work with people individually whether they are being guided in the outdoors, receiving personal training, a student in my class or attending a skills clinic.
I have built myself up and I have broken myself down. I have sweated so hard I can't see. I've seen stars and had pixel-vision. I have spit blood, punched trees, and chewed dirt. I've done "one more" repeat. I've broken bones, popped my sockets and been sewn up. I have slid across the cement and stayed out longer than I should. I've been held underwater by waves longer than I thought possible. I have had icicles in my beard, sand in my teeth and mud crusting my eyes shut. My muscles have refused to work. I have broken myself down and built myself up
I have learned to build, fuel, heal and nourish muscle, tissue and cells. I guide people in the forest, on the lakes and indoors with programs to improve personal fitness and balance the physical stresses of active living. I have spent a lifetime learning. I continue to build my understanding of the human body though first hand experience in the outdoor classroom and continuing education in the typical classroom sense. The following are some of the certifications and credits I have received along the way:
IMBA ICP IMBA Level 2-Skills Instructor 05-17-16

If I am not actively training I spend my days with my family, on our small farm in which we eat the food we grow. We ride bikes in the forest. We swim or paddle in the beautiful waters of Lake Michigan. We run, walk, hike when we can. We strive to live, love and be, happy.
